wife and I highly recommend your services. Our a/c died Saturday night
about 10 pm. We got thru the night with a fan, sleeping in 85 degree
temperatures. Called about 7:30 am and were told that a tech would be
available between 2 and 4 pm. We were next called and told a tech would be
at the house shortly, a great surprise. The tech was pleasant and
professional He quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it. This included
a new starting capacitor and adding coolant. He then went over the system
to verify proper operation. The service was prompt and pricing fair. We
could have been taken advantage of by another company. I will continue to
do business with this company. Thanks for keeping us out of the heat on a
day when it was going to be 101 F. Great job!

EXCEPTIONAL
I called a dozen different local service companies to check my A/C system
at 7:00 in the evening during the heat of the summer of July 2010. The
first to answer their phone was Service First. The dispatcher was
attentive and professional. He dispersed a technician - David Villegas,
who arrived *WHEN THEY SAID HE WOULD ARRIVE !!! *. There were no vague,
gray areas of when he would arrive, and none about the diagnosis of my
system. I am an HVAC procurement agent by trade and normally, pardon the
pun, "phone a friend" for help. I don't have to do that any longer because

Service First saved-the-day for our Childcare Center. We have children in
care 7 am - 6 pm, and are licensed by the State. One of our 20yr old AC
units died, and all the AC companies knew they had us, buy a new unit or

WONDERFUL SERVICE
Dear Friends,
I arrived home late on saturday, July 3rd, to an ai ounditioner that ws
blowin air and nothing else. We opened every window i the house and sweate
through the long, humid night.
Sunday, July 4th, I thought there would be no hope of finding anyone able
to help us until we were past the holiday. I have heard too many horror
stories of people who have been abused because of their lack of knowledge
in the heater/air conditioning field.
I was absolutely delighted t find that your company would not only be able
to help me, but Omar Rodriguez was out atour house within a couple hours
of my phone call. Omar was very professional and in a very short amount of
time, had the problem diagnosed. He had the equipment in his truck and we
had blessedly cool air running through our system again. I was so
satisfied, I checked to see if your company has a anual maintenance plan.
I signed up on the spot and look forward to a long, satisfying relatinship
with your company.

DISSATISFIED W/ NEW UNIT INSTALLED
After several attempts at trying to reach Jack, the owner, I am at my
witts end. I am in the heat in the SA Summer and several attempts at
trying to get my system to cool have been unsuccessful. My new unit cools
for a week or two and then it's out again. What is the problem? This
should not be happening. This is a brand new unit which I had installed in
the spring so that I would not have to suffer in the summer. I work out of
my home and have had to leave and leave my work unattended. Where is Jack
and why won't he call me when I ask. Each time I get a different excuse
why he's not available. I don't consider this to be good service.
Jack, if you get this, I would like for you to call me. As the owner of this company, this is your obligation.

DISSATISFIED
I contacted this company for my AC repair needs after reading the
excellent commentaries. The technician arrived on time but took a little
over two hours to attempt to diagnose the problem. Over the course of the
time technician was here, I heard several different explanations as to why
the AC was not working properly. In truth, the explanations were
conflicting. In the end, a quote of 800 was provided. The final quote
included a repair of a part that was not initially mentioned during the
discussions. Thus, time was wasted and money was spent on a problem that
was not resolved.

I am very sorry that you were dissatisfied. Our goal at Service First is to arrive promptly as you stated we did indeed. We strive for complete satisfaction as you can read in the past 40 reviews. Our technichians completely check the system and that may take time. We want to be thorough during our service call to prevent future problems. An air conditioning system is mechanical like your car and contains multiple parts that need to be checked during the service call. We took a total of one hour and a half to complete this diagnostic for you. The service tech wrote on your invoice that the coil was plugged up; you explained to him that you did not know that the filter had to be replaced and the same filter probably had been there for 3 years. To remove your evaporator coil is an extensive process, therefore the quote of $800 we feel is a fair price. The problem was not solved because you decided not to clean the coil. If you have any further questions or discussion concerning your unit, please do not hesitate to call 210-521-1500

I'm super impressed, I had an a/c leak and I called service first and they
sent there a/c tech David who was very nice and helpful and even took the
time to even spray the wasps outside my front door which was'nt even his
job to do. He was very professional and you could really tell that he knew
what he was doing. You can tell that service first hires only the best
most qualified employees. From the start I had a good experience even from
the man i talked to on the phone. My overall experience with this company
has been great and they should get a 5 star and I will be using them again
in my future
QUICK AN HONEST SERVICE
Recently my AC stopped working so I called John Wayne to have it
evaluated. I paid $30 for an estimate that I never received and my wife
was given three or four different prices to fix the problem yet the actual
problem was never clearly revealed. Even after speaking with there office
I still did not have a clear picture of what would be required to fix it.
Within half an hour of David Nelson, from Service First, arriving he
quickly identified the problem and possible courses of action. Unknowing
to him, John Wayne was the last company to service my AC and he revealed
that the refrigerant was over filled. He identified this as a possible
cause of the system not cooling well and the compressor locking up. His
answers to my questions showed he was only there to fix the problem and
not try and squeak out as much money as he could. The service he provided
and the honest assessment of the problem is in my opinion top notch
compared to what I experieinced with your competition. I assure you
Service First will maintain all of my business in the future and I will
recommend your company when any oppurtunity comes forth.
David has secured you a customer for this and any future repairs that may
be necessary for my AC. I commend his professionalism and honesty and

BEST AC HEATING SERVICE IN SAN ANTONIO
Truly a 5 Star Company. Within minutes of my explaination of the heating
unit issues he diagnosed the problem and fixed what a "not so
good" heating company wired incorrectly. He was respectful, listened
well to my concerns and fully explained what he was doing at all times.

Without having heat for 24 hours and expecting 32* for the night, I knew I

WINTER SYSTEM CHECK
Brandon Jonas, the representive for Service First came to my house to do a
yearly check. I found Brandon to be a very pleasant young man. He was very
clean and was here on time. He serviced the furnace and checked the air
conditioner. We discussed the guardian air purification system. Brandon
was very knowledgeable and he was NOT a hard sell person. That will turn
me off faster than any thing. As my partner is going through Chemo the
