Without having heat for 24 hours and expecting 32* for the night, I knew I needed to call for help. Of course, I called after hours and just in time. There was still someone, forgot his name, at the office and sent a technician out. Brandon Jonas arrived and after trouble shooting various possibilities, I GOT HEAT! Brandon was awesome! He was here until 9pm and explained to me what the problem was and later explained it to my husband. He was patient and thorough. I've had a summer and winter service check up as well and those technicians were also good.

I had my first experience with Service First Air Conditioning yesterday and was impressed. Their technician David was very professional and a pleasure to work with, taking great care as he worked and thoroughly explaining to me what he was doing. I have used several other local AC companies in the past and have been disappointed each time, so it was really nice to have such a good experience with David and Service First. I also lucked out and got a same-day appointment to top it off. I highly recommend this company!


Sunday afternoon dilemma

My A/C went out over the weekend. Saturday night we were miserable. Sunday came and I couldn't figure out what was wrong on my own - fuse boxes, etc. Checked yellowpages.com and saw lots of high reviews for this company. Called them and they were willing to come out on a Sunday afternoon (I later learned they are a 24-Hour company). Technician came over; he was friendly, courteous, and wore plastic shoe covers, "booties," over his boots. He trouble-shot, found the problem quickly, showed me the problem, gave me a quote, and finished his work in a very reasonable time. I was am extremely happy with their work, and would call them again in a moments notice if need be.

Service First is the most reliable, trustworthy and efficient air condition business in the San Antonio area. Their knowledge of the air conditioning and heating business was outstanding and up to par. They are knowledgeable with the latest technology on air condition and heating and pass on the knowledge to their customers. They have always been honest and dependable and I always feel at ease once they arrive at our door. The job will be done rabidly and efficiently. Service First is the only air condition company in San Antonio to call.

My wife got home from work and called me telling me the house was cold as can be, and that there was nothing on our digital thermostat. It was blank. The winter storm was in full effect in San Antonio and my Air Conditioner – Heater went out. I told my wife to take the kids out for dinner and warm up and I would get it fixed. I was anticipating spending a long time waiting for the heat to get fixed and getting screwed with an outlandish heating repair bill in the process. At around 6:30pm I called a couple of other San Antonio Air Conditioning companies and was told I would get a call back “shortly”. Both were answered by an answering service and they were clueless! At 7pm, I still had no call back. I then called Service First AC Repair, and based on my experience, they chose their company name well. The call was answered by a "HVAC Service Rep" from their company, Johnny, and he told me that someone would be out at my house in about 1 to 1.5 hours. An hour later the technician called me telling me where he was at, and that he would be there shortly, but was a little lost. He was using his GPS to find my house, and whoever makes the GPS maps shows my house on the wrong side of 1604, which is off by about 5 blocks. Several of my friends have had the same problem, and the GPS in my Nissan is off by about 3 blocks. He showed up, and noticed the problem was a blown fuse, fixed it, and also told me something I did not want to hear. While in the attic, he noticed some rat droppings. I am glad the wife was still hanging out at Peter Piper with the kids, as she would have FREAKED! She would have made us check into a hotel until the rats were 110% eliminated. He told me the rats made a minor tear in some of the duct work and he fixed it and gave me the name of a pest control company that helps get rid of the rats. I thought what they charged was very reasonable and the rat guy fixed the problem and “plugged a hole” in a storage closet on our patio the next day. He also asked what my electricity bill was each month. He noticed some gaps in our insulation (and showed them to me) and said we would probably save a few hundred a year in air conditioning and heating if we added some more insulation in key areas. We will probably do that in April, if my bonus comes thru. Service First Air Conditioning did a great job and I will use them again and recommend them. Oh, of the other 2 San Antonio heater repair companies I called, only one called me back and it was the next morning at like 9:45 am.


Outstanding Service

We noticed our indoor AC unit leaking water on Saturday afternoon. We called Service First AC and they showed up a couple hours later. The technician, Jack, was prompt, professional and very knowledgeable. We were very impressed with the service and would definitely use them again. I would not hesitate to recommend them to others. They live up to their name.
